What's this project all about?
Two teams of NC State University students in a Natural Resources Measurements course evaluated the human and wildlife use of a major portion of Raleigh's Capital Area Greenway System during February & March 2014 & 2016. The data, collected at more than 40 sites, will allow Raleigh Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Resources to better manage and plan greenways for people and wildlife.
We also examined the vegetation and soils along greenway trails, the quality of water in adjacent streams, and initiated a repeat photography program near the Milburnie Dam.
