What's this project all about?
Teams of NC State University students in a Natural Resources Measurements course evaluated the human and wildlife use of a major portion of Raleigh's Capital Area Greenway System during February & March 2014 & 2016.
They also examined the vegetation and soils along greenway trails, the quality of water in adjacent streams, and initiated a repeat photography program near the Milburnie Dam. The data, collected at numerous sites, will allow Raleigh Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Resources to better manage and plan greenways for people and wildlife. |
